Case Study: 84-year-old male

Patient: 84-year-old male Dental Implant Case Study

Patient Concern

The patient presented with a front tooth that had broken off at the gum line. The tooth could not be saved, affecting both his smile and ability to chew comfortably.

Treatment Details

The damaged tooth was carefully removed. Fortunately, the patient already had a dental implant supporting the adjacent front tooth. A new implant-supported two-unit crown was designed on that single implant to replace both the existing implant crown and the newly missing adjacent tooth.

This allowed two teeth to be restored using one implant, without the need for an additional implant procedure.

Outcome

The patient was very pleased with the results. His smile and chewing function were restored, providing a natural-looking appearance and improved confidence.

Before & After Case Study: Restoring Function and Smile

Case Study - Treatment included a combination of dental implants and crowns to replace missing teeth

Patient: 64-year-old female

Patient Concern:
A 64-year-old female presented with several missing teeth and ill-fitting partial dentures that made it difficult to eat and function comfortably. The patient also wanted to improve the appearance of her smile.

Treatment Details:
Treatment included a combination of dental implants and crowns to replace missing teeth, improve stability, and restore function and esthetics.

Outcome:
The patient was very pleased with the results. Her new smile provided improved comfort, function, and confidence with a more natural appearance.

Before & After Case Study: Smile Transformation

Before & After Case Study: Smile Transformation - 1

Patient: 65-year-old female

Patient Concern:
The patient presented with a desire to improve the appearance of her smile. She also had generalized erosion, which was affecting the overall strength and longevity of her teeth. In addition to aesthetics, protecting her teeth from further wear was an important goal.

Treatment Details:
We restored the patient’s smile with custom crowns to improve both appearance and function. The crowns helped rebuild the worn tooth structure, creating a more balanced, natural-looking smile while also strengthening the teeth.

To protect the new restorations and prevent further erosion or wear, a custom night guard was also fabricated. This allows the patient to maintain her results long-term by minimizing stress on the teeth during sleep.

Outcome:
The patient achieved a brighter, more even smile with improved strength and function. With the added protection of a night guard, her results are designed to last for years to come.

Before & After Case Study: Broken Tooth and Severe Decay

Dental Implant Case Study

Patient: 56-year-old male

Patient Concern:
Presented with a broken tooth on the lower left side and a nearby tooth with extensive decay.

Treatment Details:
The farthest lower left tooth was fractured and successfully restored with a full-coverage crown. The adjacent tooth had decay that was too extensive to treat or restore predictably.

After reviewing treatment options, extraction followed by placement of a titanium dental implant was recommended and completed to restore proper function and maintain bone health.

Outcome:
The patient was pleased with the results. The new crown and implant provided long-term stability, improved chewing comfort, and a natural appearance.

Before & After Case Study: Restoring Function with a Dental Implant

Dental Implants Treatment 01 Before and After Results at Triad Dentistry

Patient: 70-year-old female

Chief Concern: Broken molar at the gum line

Treatment Details:

The patient presented with a fractured molar extending to the gum line. This tooth played a vital role in her ability to chew comfortably, so restoring function was the main goal. However, due to insufficient remaining tooth structure, the tooth could not be saved. We proceeded with extraction and placement of a titanium dental implant to reestablish stability and function.

Outcome:

The implant successfully replaced this key chewing tooth, restoring comfort and full function. The patient was very pleased to regain her ability to eat normally without discomfort.

Before & After Case Study: Broken Crown and Root Fracture

Case Study - Broken Crown and Root Fracture

Patient: 57-year-old male
Patient Concern:
Presented with a broken crown on the lower right back tooth and a loose crown on the adjacent tooth.

Treatment Details:
Upon evaluation, the far back lower right tooth had a fractured crown that was successfully replaced with a new crown. The loose crown in front of it was further evaluated with 3D imaging, which revealed a root fracture that could not be restored.

To ensure long-term function and stability, the fractured tooth was extracted and replaced with a titanium dental implant. This restored both the patient’s bite and comfort in the area.

Outcome:
The patient was pleased with the result, reporting improved chewing ability and comfort. The new crown and implant blend naturally with the surrounding teeth, providing a durable and aesthetic restoration.

Patient Demographics & Concerns

A 55-year-old male presented as a new patient for a comprehensive examination. During the evaluation, extensive decay was discovered beneath a previously treated crown. Due to the extent of the decay and compromised tooth structure, the tooth was determined to be non-restorable.

Treatment Details

The treatment plan consisted of extraction of the non-restorable tooth and replacement with a dental implant. The implant was ultimately restored with a custom crown designed to blend seamlessly with the patient’s natural dentition and preserve function.

Outcome

The final restoration provided a stable, functional, and esthetic result, meeting both clinical and patient expectations.

Before & After Case Study: Dental Implant Case

Case Study - Dental Implants

Patient Concerns

A 31-year-old male presented with a broken front tooth. After evaluation, the tooth was found to be non-restorable due to insufficient remaining tooth structure. The patient was concerned about both the function and the appearance of his smile.

Treatment Details

The tooth was carefully extracted, and a bone graft was placed at the time of extraction to preserve the natural bone for future support. A dental implant was then placed to replace the missing tooth and provide a strong, long-term foundation for restoration.

Outcome

The treatment successfully restored both function and the appearance of the patient’s smile. The final result was natural-looking, stable, and designed to last, allowing the patient to smile and chew with confidence.

Before & After Case Study: Smile Transformation

Smile Transformation - Before and After Treatment Images

A 34-year-old female presented with concerns about the appearance of her smile, noting that her lateral incisors were too small compared to her central incisors. She had a history of orthodontic treatment and dental trauma to her front teeth but did not wish to undergo braces again.

Treatment included a combination of veneers and crowns, along with two root canals due to previous trauma.

Outcome: Her smile was restored with improved balance, function, and esthetics.
