Meet Dr. Sona Isharani:
Dr. Sona Isharani is incredibly popular with her patients. A mother herself, Dr. Sona delivers personalized patient care with a gentle, nurturing touch. She is committed to helping her patients achieve healthy smiles they can be proud of; this shows in the way she takes the time to consider each patient’s individual needs.
Dr. Sona especially enjoys educating patients on excellent preventative oral hygiene and creating the ideal "dental home" for her young patients. Even baby teeth are important, as they hold the space in the mouth for healthy permanent teeth to grow in. She believes children deserve to have positive dental experiences that will encourage them to develop good oral hygiene habits, and she works to create that cavity free/anxiety free environment.
Dr. Isharani offers a high standard of dental care to every member of the family. Born and raised in Greensboro, she has established herself as a local dental provider over the past eight years. Dr. Isharani completed both her undergraduate and her graduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning her doctorate in dentistry before going on to complete three additional years of training in the area of pediatric dentistry. This advanced training was completed at the University of Maryland Dental School, with a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Isharani, who is Board Certified, also completed a fellowship at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)/University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Her advanced training extends into the area of behavior management, as well as growth and development. She also holds professional memberships in several dental organizations including:
- The American Dental Association
- American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
- North Carolina Dental Society
- North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
- Guildford County Dental Society
- Dean's List at UNC-Chapel Hill
- Marvin J. Black Community Service Award, UNC Dental School
- First Recipient of Samuel D. Harris Fellowship, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (National Children's Oral Health Policy and Advocacy Training)

Outside of work, Dr. Isharani is the proud mom of Sophie Hatcher. She provides dental services at Christina Smiles events, which offers free dental care to local children in need. She considers herself a lifelong student, energized by the learning process.
My experience in the field of dental medicine spans over 25 years. I joined the service of Dr. Hatcher’s practice in 2012. Since then, I have had a great time working for him and helping our patients achieve optimum dental health and beautiful smiles. I enjoy using the latest technologies in dentistry to provide the very best dental care and I look forward to making long and lasting relationships with each of our patients and our respected dental team.
Love for my patients and their smiles have made the past 20 years with this practice a blessing. I cherish all of the friendships I have made with my team and my patients. I love the challenges and excitement that come with each day of working in a dental practice, and I truly couldn’t ask for a better place to work than right here!
I have loved working in this practice for over 20 years. Our doctors and staff are wonderful at providing quality care that is comfortable for our patients and gives them the healthy smiles they want. I feel honored to work with such a great group of people, and I look forward to creating positive experiences for all of my patients and their families.
I have been so fortunate over the past 23 years to be a part of such a dynamic dental team! I am happy to treat our patients as family and enjoy having the opportunity to help others enjoy a beautiful, healthy smile!
I am proud to say that I am the newest member of the team! I have a background in interior architecture but am loving the front office position that I have grown accustomed to since I started here. I am building relationships with patients and enjoy seeing them each time they come in. I consider myself, along with Natalie, the ""HUB"" of the team. I strive to help nurture a positive, non-fearful environment here at our office, and I look forward to many, many years as part of this wonderful team.
